The drug sildenafil citrate, marketed under the name Cenforce D, is mainly prescribed to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). It is a member of the phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors pharmacological class. It is important to note that sildenafil citrate is prescribed for various medical disorders, including pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), even though cenforce tablets are generally used to treat erectile dysfunction. Sildenafil citrate improves exercise tolerance in PAH patients by relaxing and enlarging the blood vessels in the lungs.
