The growth of SMS (Short Message Service) technology appears to have happened more quickly between the years of 1993 and 1999 as the technology itself was advancing.
As the first SMS was sent in December of 1992 with the message of “Merry Christmas,” January of 1993 marked the sending of SMS on behalf of computers. That marked the first history of SMS messaging sent on behalf of a computer, and in January 1993 there was an attempt to send SMS as an experimental stage of messages sent via computer on behalf of the computer and the first attempt of a test. However, the ability to send messages via mobile phones was a great step towards progress. Amusingly enough, in January of 1993, the computer was able to send messages. The computer was able to send messages with 160 characters, and the process gained a lot of attention.
